First of all, talk to your Battalion Retention NCO. He or she will give you a good answer on this. If it were me, I would plan on submitting a deletion request, or possibly a DCSS. But get with your Retention NCO for the right answer.

Appreciate that SSG Unger! I never considered a deletion request, I only assumed I had to sign a DCSS.

You may have to submit for a deletion of orders and/or sign a declination statement. I recommend you contact your Retention NCO to see what they say and get the ball rolling.
