Although both are two very different threats each has their own tactic/s of getting their message across. Both groups are forces to be reckoned with and not something that should be ignored. Please, share your thoughts.

Both are formidible and both are a real threat. Are they an existential threat to America...no. Of the two, the IS has the most probability of becoming a strategic threat. Not to the existence of America, but to our strategic interests abroad. They have the ideology and the funds to make things happen that we haven't seen in a radical islamic movement to date. They have built a fledgling state and are acting like an actual government. the Taliban only nominally had that in Afghanistan. It was more of a safe haven than a functioning government. I'd love the see the two go head to head, as we see with AQI and IS right now. Let them fight each other for supremacy and we can sit back and watch our threats beat each other for supreme ideology.

Right now I would have to say ISIS. Every couple minutes there is something new in the news about them. Heck even here on RP it seems to be one of the number one discussed things right now.

ISIS is the number one discussion in millions of peoples conversations right now. They are the new taste/flavor that has everyone talking. The threat is real and I hope the proper steps are taken to put people at ease. Thank you so much for the response.
