I know we all have things we admire about 'other military branches' What comes to mind for yourself?

I would have to say that while attending a school on Lackland Air Force base I enjoyed the accommodations that were provided because after being there I went to Ft. Leonard wood for another school and realized the Army has a lot to learn when it comes to taking care of soldiers.

Always envied the barracks rooms and chow of the air force - less the submarine shoreside chow halls. I remember checking into the barracks room in Misawa AB Japan - only a Seaman Duece - had an AF Tsgt checking me in, going thru all the usual - and then he apologized. It seems my room did not meet AF standards and I would be getting part of the BAH back and I would be on a waiting list for immediate upgrade. He even handed me a sheet on AF Command letterhead with a written apology from the base commander. WOOT! Hey, I was happy...my room was bigger than what the Chief's (Navy E-7's for you non-Navy types) were getting in my previous commands. I was in heavan - no more 10 man bunk rooms for ME!
