I am finally able to see well enough to read. And just finishing "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi. I am able to borrow digitally from my library and read on my kindle, phone or iPad for free. They also have audio books, I recently discovered. I can see why this book made the list. Well worth the time it takes to read or listen.
Know of a book you think should have made the 2016 list?

Read "Leonard" a few months ago. Being a Star Trek fan for many decades I enjoyed the book. A lot I didn't know about either Nimoy nor Shatner came out in the book. Easy read.

I have none to recommend at this time, Maj Kim Patterson. However, of those shown above, I'd really like to read "Leonard: My Fifty-Year Friendship with a Remarkable Man" by William Shatner. Thanks!
BTW, "Killing the Rising Sun" is supposed to the best of Bill O'Reilly's "Killing" series, which I also intend to read.

Of the Winners I've read: Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Leonard, and Are We Smart Enough to Know How Smart Animals Are?. Of the runners up I've read: The Gene (which should have won), White Trash, and Killing the Rising Sun. I should say that Amazon's "Buy Now" option is evil and should be destroyed.

They have bookbub, free books, and several other apps with free selections each day. You just have to check twice before you hit the button. I am WAY behind.
