None of my tattoos are in anyway extremist, racist, sexist or any other "ist" for that matter. All of them are on the forearms and legs. My concern is with the Army changing their tattoo policy, will I be passed up for promotion because I have tattoos and look unprofessional in their opinion. I believe that our tattoos will eventually become part of our board file and we will be looked down on and therefore passed up for promotion. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I do feel that the Army is pushing more towards that direction but in no way to I think that the board members are ignorant enough to set that as a professional standard. I have many tattoos, a lot more than your average officer and this has been on the back of my mind. I am confident in the higher ups to keep the boards professional.
