Army TRiPS; have you ever made your trip safer because of it?

So I'm sitting here doing my Army TRiPS risk assesment for my mileage pass. While doing it doesn't take much time and I understand it's a "check the block" measure, I was wondering has anyone ever ACTUALLY learned something by doing it that made your trip somewhere that much safer??

Funny that you just posted this. I was literally just sitting here talking to a MSG I work with about this exact thing.

I have been asked where mine is when requesting a few days of leave but staying at my house. I tried explaining that and didn't get the message through apparently. I was told to do it. So like a good SSG (at the time) I did. Then once back to work I also submitted one twice a day for the trip to and from work. After being "talked at" by this individual for a few minutes, I was never asked to do another one when I was not traveling on leave! So I guess in the end I did get my point across.

If you read the historical stories with your super duper fast reading skills, you will get a ticket for "speeding" and have to go back and take your time, much like driving. It could be that either I answer the questions without integrity or have been in the Army too long to break the rules and thoughts of risk versus reward.

I'd say the only thing new about is was to "try" to get rid of the @army.mil mail suffix. All the features were already under the old system.
