As soldiers should we be concerned by all these matters? We pledged allegiance to the constitution and the flag of the United States of America. One Nation under God indivisible...
I believe this is a matter of distraction, and as soldiers we should not be concerned with civilian matters. Our concern is to execute the orders given from above. There are negative and positive forces operating in different nations of the world, and USA is not exempt. Do not forget about exercising your civil right by voting in this upcoming general elections. Deadline is on Nov. 4th.

I would argue that the reason why ordinary Americans have no impact is that most ordinary Americans are apathetic and simply don't care. Someone has to fill that influence void and special interest groups and corporations did just that. If Americans actually took the time to be learn about the key topics and then voted AND held their elected representatives accountable, they would have much more impact.
