The majority of the topics on RP deal with current issues and some serious topics, however, I have found that having a clever and well-timed sense of humor can be one of the many necessary tools in your "bag of leadership skills". A well placed comedic remark can relieve stress and help others realize that things are not as bad as they initially seem.

A few years ago, I came across two British comedians (Armstrong and Miller), who portray a pair of "entitlement generation" RAF pilots stuck in a WWII, "greatest generation culture". Sound familiar? The pair talk in a sort of mono-syllabic, fractured English, lingo that is typical of 21st century antisocial UK youth. Like Beatle Bailey or Sad Sack, they have a constant on-going culture clash with their superiors and brothers in arms alike.

Below are a few short skits on some timeless military topics. NOTE: There are many more, just do a youtube search on "Armstrong and Miller Pilots"

Love it. I recognize Hugh Laurie from "House" and Mr Bean.
Reminds me of the WWII RAF Banter sketch from Monty Python. There is a thread of truth in that sketch. The RAF pilots did not have secure radio comms to communicate, so they developed a sort of banter (like CB radio lingo) to communicate with each other. It gave the Germans a lot of trouble understanding what the Brits were saying. The Brits would change it up frequently to keep the German pilots guessing.
