We have been told that for last year up coming deployment with premob in January. My unit has received orders for mobilizations, but no individual orders have been issued and we are approaching 60 days from premob. Without these orders we can not break leases. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Any recommendations to get these? Rumors are spreading reason why is becasue of mission change?

SGT (Join to see) Quite common with an easy fix. I created unit orders and in the authority line cited the MOB order. Your Readiness NCO should have all the data available in some database in which he can do a mail merge and IOT provide individual orders that are legal and sufficient to cover things likes leases, etc. If you need more help, contact me via the email function.

I will agree with everyone else, as we always deployed our whole Battalion, on mission movement type orders. The reason is we deployed forward to one operating site and then send detachments out from there to other units, JTF's and operation sites. The one thing the command did do was issue a Deployment letter, stating that you were assigned to the unit and would be deploying on or between certain date until certain date. The letter was used to get personnel out of leases, and store cars, and in some cases goods on base. I will add this was active Battalions,so we did not need activation orders, that our reserve components need. Yes I am Navy but we as Seabees deploy the same way the Army does on ground, and we do it all the time.

PO2 Sybil "TT" I.
Yeah. I would see if you can get your unit or admin people to draft up a Deployment letter. Most of the time these civilians don't really know what they're looking at anyways. Just have your lease agreement ready along with it, and have the part about being able to break the lease if in the military , already highlighted, for that jerk who wants to pretend it doesn't exist. Had that happen to me, and had one flustered bit...lady...when I pointed it out. ;)

If your unit is going as a whole, then it will be Group Orders and not Individual Orders. There will be an Annex with everyone listed that will fall under this Group Order.
