You better have the answer. Asking us without knowing is mean. (...and I might come back and give you a down vote)

I agree CPT Jack Durish, I believe most who downvote are simply petti, maybe even the “assholes” of the world. There are some who I just don’t get; they downvote without explanation, don’t retract when shone to be wrong, or apply a standard that does not fit all situations. There is one on this thread who fits all three of those descriptions!

I am sure there are threads with more down votes but this is the highest I have ever participated in. I am still wondering if the RP staff actually ate all those points....bahahahaha!

Do Retirees Really “Deserve” Access to AAFES Stores More Than Non-Retirees? | RallyPoint
* Please vote in the survey here * Note: I am a RallyPoint member (served in USAF for 5 years) and wish to remain anonymous, because I need to be 100% honest that I feel the DoD is discriminating against non-retirees like me. Please tell if I am right or wrong here. While I was serving in the USAF (5 years active), I enjoyed shopping at AAFES locations and online as well. It saved me a lot of money and the deals always seemed good. Now that I...

Wow. I read the post and this guy is off his rocker. I am not sure why he is more worried about the BX privileges so much. I am currently active and 8 months from retirement and shop at Walmart more than I do the BX unless it's a big purchase, just to save the tax. I am more worried about my medical benefits the most. Thanks for the share CSM (Join to see).

Also, CMSgt (Join to see)'s rock solid, humorous and pithy response (one her fortes!) gave her a zillion up votes and still provides her with the occasional up vote. CSM (Join to see) SGT (Join to see) TSgt Steve Waide

Well, thank you very much, Sir! It is decidedly one of my finer moments. :) :)

There is no difference in a retired person and one still in the uniform. We all either served or are still serving. The money in retirement is a lot less and for what one can find cheaper in the PX god bless you! I have not used a PX, Bx since I was a SPC at Ft Hood in 1977. I have to retract my statement in Iraq we used those nasty, dirt filled trailers.

I have only down voted once and that was right after I joined RallyPoint and didn't fully understand the implications of the down vote. I could have made my point a lot better through full comments but I thought the best way was to down vote. I apologized and moved on. Haven't done another one yet. I will reserve those for truly inappropriate and wrong posts versus peoples opinions.

A1c. I gave one and received a pretty harsh review for another member. But name calling and baiting another just because you disagree is a little to much for me. Come very close the other day because of name calling and talking about a certain part of the country. I think some like to start things and stir a pot of crap up.

I agree with both of you. The one time I did down vote someone I was called everything but my name. So I reserve those down votes for the ones that truly deserve it and then wait for the name calling to occur.
