Monks corner is a little cheaper area to buy a house with a small commute to Charleston.

Thank you for the tip. We haven't looked there yet. We've been mainly looking in Goose Creek, Hanahan, and North Charleston. We would love to find something in the Mt Pleasant area, but I think that's out of the question for right now.

If you're not from the south, get ready to learn about humidity.

SSG Toryn Green You still might be in for something of a shock. Missouri has humidity, but SC is downright wet. When I first moved to the south I thought everyone had leaky radiators - then realized it's just the condensation from the AC.
