What is the Army Reg for writing SOP's? Could someone point me in the right direction to get one started?

You have to be careful with globalsecurity and other sites because the information is not always updated. I always verify by using http://www.usapa.army.mil.
The only reason why I came across this is because I am researching SOPs now to provide information for my business continuity management certification,

SSG Shavonde Chase - I've used usapa.mil as well. They usually have what you're looking for if it's an AR, PAM, or FM. Sometimes they don't have ATPs and other non-regulatory publications.

SFC (Join to see) - , Thank you for the feedback. I usually don't have trouble with finding ATPs, TCs, DA PAMs and ect. I found the regulation and soon will be done with this application. I've spent two days translating my composite risk management experience and skills into business continuity language.

Good God, Man. Do NOT reinvent the wheel! Ask for specifics from your Higher HQ's. They should have a template.

The problem with that is most people, even in command and leadership positions, don't know how to write an SOP. Being they are an inspectable publication it would suck getting hammered because he followed poor input. I would see if there was something on record I could dissect and make correct though.

If you haven't completed SSD2 yet there's a section of it dedicated to writing SOPs.
