Leaders, what is some effective Corrective training that you use for traffic infractions within your units?

I'm considering implementing a extracurricular corrective training program for all ranks of traffic offenders that earn themselves a spot on the blotter. Our magistrate already handles the punishment piece, I want to implement the relevant administrative actions that I had to do as a young Soldier (essays, teach classes, etc), what works for you?

III Corps has a safety program for traffic offenders , they call it "Road Rageous" The same contractors I work with for Motorcycle safety conduct the class once a month. I do not believe this program is rank immaterial though, or was not last I looked. The concept was to modify behaviour and the thought was those with an OER or NCOER, both a rater and senior rater could have thier behaviour modified in other ways. So only junior enlisted go to the course as directed.

CSM Eric Olsen - Im only on the "inside" when i go to guest teach the motorcycle safety courses
Let me see if I still know the Safety guy at Corps, if so, I'll send you whatever he sends me. Perhaps contact your post Safety guy as well, ask them to go directly to III Corps safety and get info on the "Remedial Drivers Training (RDT) program "
RDT's are for ticket dismissal or command referred. This class is normally scheduled on Training Holidays and starts promptly at 0730 scheduled to run 8hrs. It focusses on Aggressive drivers, self assessment

I love it! I have been searching the III Corps and 4ID portal since my last message to no avail. Already started typing a note to our DIV Safety guys. No need for anymore effort on your part, you already got my brain ticking! Thanks again

CSM Eric Olsen - If you dont get something back from your DIV Safety folks in just a few days please feel free to drop me a note. I need to go on post in the next few days and touch base with my brothers at Cape Fox, lest they forget to call when they need a guest instructor.

A great ass chewing and corrective measures. Ie....no driving on post for a week to start. You have to make it painful and they will correct themselves for comfort and accessibility
A slap on the wrist or requiring them to teach a class etc is a minor bump in the road of normal duties.
Not meanness, just uncomfortable niceties suspended.

Unfortunately Id bet you will find little support at the Post or CORPS commander level to restrict driving privileges based on a traffic infraction..Short of it being tied to a death or such. Or perhaps a habitual offender. Those things will be rank immaterial and that hits too close to home as well as restricting on post driving privileges on a board level (for general traffic infractions) brings with it other issues to consider.
Ok you now have 438 SM this month restricted from driving on post, 311 of those live off post. Where will they park prior to the gate in a legal and safe manner? How will they get to unit location? How will the process though security from the roadway parking area you created for them...in a safe manor, when the post design and planning did not allow for that many people accessing post from the road way by foot?
Im all about personal responsibility and for the Drunk driver, the habitual offender, the Vehicular homicide during a race, ect i say too bad on the issues driving on post restricted brings with it. .. But like it or not, if you create the issue (the few above i mentioned and likely more) for a larger demographic, I think you are going to be required to address those issues as part of the plan.

I think that you have some great ideas. I would have them gives classes but give the class to me before you do them. I would have him give out statistical data in form of a hand out and maybe even some visual aids. Just my nickels worth!
