What are some safe and interesting areas to live offpost in Aviano, Italy?

It looks as though I am heading to Aviano AB, Italy soon. Pending this does not change, where are some fun OFFPOST places people have lived around the Aviano area? I am hoping some of the Air Force members or Army Riggers that have served there can lend some advice. I will be bringing my wife and newborn with me to Italy, so I do not need a nightlife area or anything. We want to experience Italy.
