I am enlisting in the CG and wanted to know how long this will take. The recruiter submitted the paperwork this past Wednesday.

DOD farms out a lot of background checks. Fliers are often sent to courts and educational institutions so it will take 30-45 days minimum.

The exact same amount of time it takes in the civilian world. Whether the results are made available in the same amount of time depends upon what military entity is conducting the check.

The military dioes not do credit checks. If one is done it is done via the credit reporting agencies so it should go as fast as any other.

LTC Stephen C.
Capt (Join to see), and I would think that the credit reports are done faster than we think. Nowadays, you can get loan approval for automobiles and homes in a matter of days or less. All that includes a credit check. SSgt Ryan Jones
