Wouldn't it be helpful to have our branch indicated on the discussion thread?

Sometimes the context is lost because we identify with our own branch and may make statements that are inappropriate or just wrong since we don't really understand what the lead question is referencing. I've seen it happen quite a bit here. Should RP "tag" us with a branch "badge"?

I don't see it as a need, but on the other side, I don't see it as a something not to do either (just a very low priority). If you're interested, all you have to do is hover your mouse over their name and it will give you that info.

SGT Marvin "Dave" Bigham On a windows tablet (I know.. I'm probably the only one out there with one of those), a long hold on the name (or any other hot spot) is the same as a mouse hover. Not sure if apple or andriod has similar functionality.

I think it would be nice to know the specialty/background of the people posting.

Yes sir, but I see rank and know the "level" the response or question comes from, but not what branch of service. SGT and MAJ (and others) don't really help me without looking into their profile.

I think so. Right now the only reference to an individual's branch is current or former rank but since so many ranks look similar and not all pictures are in uniform it would be nice to see.

Exactly, sir. But Top may have been referring to LTC Labrador' s comment about specialties.
