I do not draw any lines in my social networks. I'm active on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and now RallyPoint. I am not going to say anything on 1 that I would be ashamed of on the other. Also I am an “Open Networker” especially with military members and veterans.

All that said, when I connect with you on one, you may see an invite from another.

So what are you thoughts?

I really don't draw any lines between my social networking. I do think twice before posting though. I use security features to keep things like pictures of my kids private to only those I add to my networks and I review anything I'm tagged in; just as a way to protect myself. But I can see why someone would want to keep say Facebook apart from say their Rallypoint or LinkedIn accounts. The purpose of each network should be thought of before you post that selfie of you drinking your 10th beer at the July 4th party you were at. Might be a good idea to keep that off LinkedIn.

I don't share the same things on the other social sites as I do on Rally Point. It's not because I'm "ashamed" it's mainly because members of Rally Point tend to understand my military experiences better than my civilian friends and family.

I keep a facebook, a RP, and an Instagram and none of them are connected. I don't even really use the Instagram. I just opened that account to monitor what my son and stepdaughters are doing.
