I was selected to attend the CAQC and was told to complete Airborne School En Route. This will be my first PCS move and there are many variables to account for such as 1.) Do I just walk onto Airborne or do I receive orders? 2.) What do I do with my family while in the middle of a PCS? 3.) How much time do I have to find living quarters after completion of Airborne and my report date?

SSG (Join to see) First stop is your BN S1, they will need to conduct a levy brief with you so that your orders are published correctly. I see your with 3CR out of Ft Hood, your in luck because I was in III Corps G1 at Ft Hood recently so I'm pretty familiar with current policies. Check with your schools NCO at the SQRDN S3 to see if you have an ATRRS seat for the airborne course and what is the report date. The SQDRN S1 will be able to tell you the report date for next assignment as well. Using that information, you can develop a plan on whether to move your family before or after you attend airborne school. Direct message me for more details or hit me up on outlook: [login to see]

Your Levy brief should be handled by your MPD on post. TDY Enroute refers to the way the orders are cut and who pays. At your Levy brief you'll be given several options including attending school with authorization to return and clear with your dependents.
Your airborne school will be loaded into ATRRS. Your orders should say school enroute with the class information. That is used to create the 1610 to authorize you to attend airborne.
You have from your school completion date to your report date to find housing and take any leave.
