Remember that question? There has to be an element of truth to the matter. Where did it come from? From whom did we inherit the practice (if not a myth)? Has anyone done a PMCS on this container? lol. I figured weather and time would degrade the items significantly.

I do realize Wikipedia and google are primary sources of information for many, yet I'm looking for some plausible answer that may be supported with cold hard facts.

I've been informed that Marines have a similar story about it too. What other branch of service share the same story?

That's a pretty hard question I would guess at least 60% of military members drive trucks

Oh....you got me there MR. Latimer I was thinking on the lines of how many joes actually drive trucks. As far as that mythical creature you speak off heard about it my entire career never actually seen a reg it memo on it.
