Was it unethical for the AP to declare Hillary Clinton the nominee the day prior to the primaries?

The AP, after calling the undeclared Super-delegates, declared HRC the Dem nominee the day before six states voted in their primary elections. This included California and New Jersey. This sent a clear message to Sanders supporters that it was not worth voting cause he had lost.

Very deliberate. No question about it. Compare that with the coverage of Trump.

Dewey Defeats Truman" was an incorrect banner headline on the front page of the Chicago Daily Tribune on November 3, 1948,

The most important part, and taken for granted, are the American voters/taxpayers. There are some people who want a female CIC so badly they are willing to accept anyone with their bull line.

Define "unethical" as it applies to politics. That seems to be a moving target, doesn't it? The shenanigans of this year's crop of presidential contenders make them appear to be doing the Limbo compared to Nixon and the Watergate burglars who were dancing a Lindy Hop.

CPT Pedro Meza - I believe that the Chicago Trib headline to which you are referring was composed by an over zealous Dewey supporter who, like many, were convinced that he was going to win and wanted to be first on the streets with the news. It wasn't released early enough to affect the voting

CPT Jack Durish - History repeats itself, in both instances one paper tried to get the drop on the others, its all about selling, its a business and its crazy for people to think that the press is no different. Stop to think this paper knew that it would lead to controversy which sells more papers; just like Trump sell controversy it the way reality TV works, and we are the suckers that buy it.

CPT Pedro Meza - If you have read any of my many other posts on the subject, you will know I'm in agreement. We have the government we deserve. We elect is and keep reelecting it. Yes, it would help if the Fourth Estate stopped acting like a Fifth Column spreading propaganda for the progressive movement. No, I don't want conservative newspapers and media. I want real journalism. I'd know it is I saw it. I grew up with it. But that was more than five decades ago. Now, the best we have are citizen journalists, an army of yeomen with smart phones ready to record any incident and post it on the Internet. We have to be careful of jumping to conclusions based on their recordings inasmuch as selective editing can greatly alter the interpretation, but when you compare enough different versions, a picture of reality may unfold.

CPT Jack Durish - We have become idiots driven by our desires, that is why Reality TV is so addictive because it continues to feed the habit. That is why Selfies are so big. We can compare many versions called slices which relates to the Book Blink and all will see what their own beliefs systems tells them. TV, New Papers, News media all know that. Instead of a fool and his money are soon parted, we have a fool and his brains are soon parted.
