I never gave it any thought.That was just the way it was. I guess that it did make it easier for people to find me.

It never bothered me and was quite helpful when you were looking for someone's quarters. Assuming one of your troopers wasn't stalking you with a hand grenade, I think it was OK.

I found it very helpful when leaving my cards (one for him and one for each adult in the household) at the CO's quarters. They all looked alike. LOL

I liked it. On base kids could tell us they were going to the "Smith's" to play and we could easily find the house.
