What are your bad PCS experiences and with whom?

My neighbor on Adak got the triple whammy. First his vehicle was put in a shipping container which is standard practice. Problem was the hoist cable snapped while transferring in Cold Bay. 600 feet down and nobody is going after it. Problems compounded as his HHG got into a jackknife and flipped, spreading the HHG over a couple of acres. I think is small weight set was the only thing undamaged. Bottom line, a total write off. Then he had to go through hell with the move office with his claim because they didn't understand the word "total". And "important" has no cash value.

It was so bad, I don't want to talk about it.

We used Bekins also for my retirement move. Talk about problems. Ask the mover if they are using day labor or not.
