Is there any way to get reimbursed for excessive daily mileage/gas use?

My hangar is 8 miles away from the Battalion HQ, which is directly across from our BN Motor pool. Since I am the Company Master Driver and Maintenance/Motor NCO for my Company, I have to drive there daily, often more than once.
In addition, our COF is roughly 6 miles from our Hangar, and same as above, given the additional duties, multiple drives are routine.
On average i'm driving (not counting my commute) 60 miles a day just for those 2 additional duties, before any other random tasks that pop up during the day.
Other than deducting the mileage comes TAX time, and even then its only a percentage over the amount in excess to a specific number...is there a way to get some sort of recoupment for the expense incurred?

You should be driving a Command Vehicle with the Associated Gas Card. Totally Unsat if they are having you do official duties and make you use your POV.

Daily occurrence for everyone in our Battalion. Use of personal vehicles to conduct Army business.

SGT Hector Rojas, AIGA, SHA - That is Horrible and Just Jaw Dropping. I'm sure there should be a way to reimburse your costs then. I know there is some really creative folks in the Payroll Office and there has to be something to cover this situation.

In Fort Drum, all Battalions had at least a TMP, ours had both a Humvee and a TMP at the ready in the Battalion parking lot solely for the purpose of conducting army business.
New soldier pickup, police call, transporting personnel to/from motorpools, transporting supplies, etc.
Current brigade has a policy whereas we have to drive to the airfield (8 miles) to sign for a TMP if we want it to conduct our inspections (driving 8 miles back to conduct inspections), then drive the TMP back and sign it back in every time (since we can't sign it out for the duration of the night), and then we drive our POV back 8 miles to Battalion to repeat it again every 4 hours.
So, in order to use a TMP we would actually waste more of our gas.
No sense. None.

You may be able to file a local voucher in DTS if the mileage is outside of your normal commute distance. Check Chapter 2 of the JTR and your local command policy as it relates to mileage reimbursement.
