What is your opinion about President Obama's transgender bathroom policy?

I wish the President would attend to the proper business of the Executive branch of government as described by the Constitution. Who the hell is minding the store as he's gallivanting around the world sticking his nose into places where it doesn't belong. Now forgive me but I'm simply going to paste the same response I just posted in another discussion thread on this topic...
I wonder how many, like me, have no way to respond to this. With all of the problems confronting us, we have decided to focus on this one. The simple truth is that you can chop off your pecker, grow breasts, have a womb implanted, grow your hair longer, and whatever and you're still a man who chopped off his pecker, grown breast, had a womb implanted, grown longer hair, and whatever. I could make another list for women with the same result. How can I say such a thing? Am I a Neanderthal? Am I a bigot? Hell no. The simple truth is that one can make whatever changes they want but still cannot change their basic nature because they cannot change their genes. Either they have a "X" chromosome or they don't. And no amount of social engineering is going to change it either. Every man and woman has to learn to live in their own skins. Accept who and what they are. If they are trapped in the wrong body, understand that almost everyone else feels they're equally trapped. Hell, I'm a handsome young man trapped in a flabby old man's body. I suspect that may be as difficult to alter as a transgender. Also, to be perfectly honest, I'm not clear on the difference between transgender and homosexuality. No, you needn't bother to explain it, not for my benefit. Just understand that we have learned (or, at least, most of us have learned) to live with homosexuals among us without social engineering (like altering bathroom rules). Why are we now imploding as we struggle to change our world for the benefit of a number that seems even rarer than homosexuals? The bottom line is that I don't care about any person's sexuality, nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, ideological preference, or whatever other than my own. Yours is simply not my business. Please don't try to make it my business.

MAJ (Join to see) - Good response Jeff. I am wondering if so many defects make most trans genders work- in- progress a no-go to enlisting/commissioning, I am surprised they are not excluding transgenders on basis of health and/or mental issues just like others (non-trans) with impediments who can't join based on DOD existing guidelines. We are the 1% of the population. I am not a Dr. but we have healthy people who are not transgender trying to get in the military.
I have a transgender step-daughter that would not be able to join because she is too nice to say no to drugs or drinking, too lazy but stays up all night and sleeps all day, 9th grade education and she drinks, smokes cigs and pot all the time and would probably fail APFT all through basic. (she was once a great soccer player prior to running into the wrong crowd) She is a lost girl who has a sense of entitlement but who has no motivation to get a job. I wonder if many trans genders are that way since they feel trapped and depressed in the body that she was born with.

TSgt Dan Sawn - true that steroid use can cause cancer and heart/cardio problems to change the gender since its forcing the body to be something it was not at birth.

I am SO happy that there is nothing else as important going on in the US and world that 0bama has time to address this.
I wish he cared enough about the THOUSANDS of invaders crossing our borders on a weekly basis.
I'm so glad ISIS has been eliminated, and has ceased being a global threat.
I'm so glad that NK has given up their nuclear weapons program and has stopped threatening the US west coast.
I'm so glad that China has realized the error or their ways and ceased the expansion of their influence in the South China Sea.
I'm so glad that 0bama has solved the growing debt he has saddled generations with, adding well over $10,000,000,000,000 in less than his two terms.

Did you know Putin is selling 50 T-72 tanks to Nicaragua and 20 are on their way already? Why is this not in the maintstream media? I went to visit my family in Honduras last week. Vladmir Putin is selling fifty tanks to Nicaragua along with some Helicopters. Why has not the media said anything about this? Costa Rica to the south has only a police force and El Salvador and Honduras do not have anything close to a T-72A....

CPO. your insight into this problem is spot on. The President has time for the small people which is unusal. But most all he comes out with just pisses me off, he has his mind made up and he doesn't care what the majority thinks. Lust another way to divide the nation.

CPT L S - That's funny sir. Last I checked, Obama was a democrat. HE'S the one that issued the directive requiring states to allow those who can't tell what is between their legs, oops, let me be politically correct, I mean transgendered people to use whatever bathroom they like. So clearly you're misunderstanding what party is doing what.
