I'm interested in getting into the private contractors community. Anyone know of any company's hiring, and what they are looking for?

Cpl Nathan Sandy,
Dyncorp is hiring Aviation Technicians and Mechanics. What are you looking for? Do you have anything that can carry over from your HVac experience?

G4S Secure Solutions (formerly The Wackenhut Corporation) and G4S Government Solutions (formerly Wackenhut Services, Inc.) are typically always in the market for prior service personnel to go into their Custom Protection and para-military protective forces.
Both have an on-line application process on their web sites. Specific contracts also do their own recruiting, like the Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration sites, nuclear power plant contracts, Washington DC area contracts, etc.

Just saw this news release and thought I would share it:
. G4S Secure Solutions Named as a Top Veteran-Friendly Company
JUPITER, Fla., Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- G4S, America's leading security company, has been named by U.S. Veterans Magazine as a 2014 Top Veteran-Friendly Company. It is the fourth time this year that G4S has been recognized for its focus on veterans' employment.
Earlier, G4S was named a G.I. Jobs Top 100 Military-Friendly Employer and a CivilianJobs.com Most Valuable Employer (MVE) for Military. The U.S. Department of Defense has also presented G4S with its Patriot award.
Twenty-five percent of G4S employees are veterans, working in all sections of the company from entry level roles to senior management.
"Today's announcement goes beyond reporting employment numbers," said Drew Levine, President of G4S, North America. "It speaks to our focus on providing the best-trained security officers and creating a culture of employees who are highly dedicated to our clients' safety and security."
In 2013, G4S achieved its goal of hiring more than 6,000 returning veterans and their family members, as part of its ongoing commitment to the White House's 'Joining Forces' Program.
"G4S is proud our employment programs are built upon the superior skills and training of our veterans," said Geoff Gerks, G4S Senior Vice President Corporate Human Resources. "But hiring veterans is only part of the picture. Strong employee retention and promotion programs mean our customers benefit from consistent G4S service."
G4S also supports veterans who need flexible employment opportunities because they are part of the National Guard or Military Reserves. Earlier this year, G4S was recognized by the Department of Defense and its Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Program.

Dyncorp is hiring Close Protection PSD team guys.
https://dyncorp.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl
I'm interested too. I just don't know where to get " High Risk Motorcade Course/Protective Security Detail (HRMC/PSD) training or be able to provide documentation of successful completion of a similar course."
I know there are a 100 private sector schools out there that teach hard skillsets, I just don't know which ones would satisfy this requirement. Shot gunning this isn't really an option because the training is expensive.
I know this reply isn't very helpful. I'm really just hoping someone with some insight will see this and sort us out.
