Did you spend 13 years (K to 12) in public education? What did you get from it?

Sadly, Leftist indoctrination replaced education in public schools ever since the establishment of the U.S. Department of Education. However, it wasn't a really new concept. Some form of indoctrination has prevailed in public schools even before then. Those of us who served received our first practical education after enlisting. For many, it comes after getting that first job.

Nope, not this foul mouth kid. Capt Jack, I spent 12 years in Parochial School with those freaking Nuns. Shit, the Military was nothing compared to them and their smart ass tactics. Believe me, I was going to hell every week. Well that's what they told me anyways.

And then I went off to College in South Carolina, Class of 3029, with that shit eating grin that got me into so much trouble that it wasn't funny. But life was great ! WTF-Over!

SFC Kenneth Hunnell - I'm sure that the Nuns thought of that but they kept me around for shits and giggles, I'm sure.

I got a diploma... I had to teach myself taxes, investing, getting a loan, CPR, working in my car, working a computer... You know, the basics... But I needed to regurgitate Shakespeare's haikus....

CPT Jack Durish - Well lets see...I was able to join the military without needing a waiver or special considerations. Then after my years in service I was able to transition into a pretty successful IT career and start a non-profit organization with the help of some great Veterans. So I would say, it was worth a lot. Not to say I could not have done any or all of this if I went to a private school but for the most part my years in the public school system were okay. Now, if you ask me about some of the craziness my kids are going through now as they attend public school, then that might be a different answer but I know my children will be successful as well.
