At my own free will, I am assisting a fellow RP Member with their campaign to be able to wear black socks and sandals to a bar-b-q at any given time.

Absolutely! What kind of BBQ doesn't have men wearing black socks and sandals? A lame one, that's what kind!

I don't understand the question. I thought you were supposed to wear black socks and sandals. I have never seen it done any other way. Seriously, how else would you do it? Sandals with no socks? Are we cave men? Socks were invented to add that little extra flare to your attire.
