If you aren't retired and do not have a retired ID card, sent RP a copy of your DD-214 as validation - option 3. The good LTC (Join to see) here knows what he's talking about - almost.

Cpl Richard Robinett
Because of the 1985 cut off date I cannot be verified. I served in the Marine Corps from 1980-1984. I don't have a military E-mail of course. I am a veteran and I don't know anyone who can vouch for me. It doesn't seem fair.

Cpl Richard Robinett The 1985 cutoff date is not RallyPoint's choice... that's how far back digital government records go. If you send your DD214 to [login to see] , they will take care of you.
