Emotional Intelligence is synonymous with "maturity". When the fit hits the shan, everyone looks to the person who is in control of their emotions as a queue to how they should react. That person is the leader

Very important. Many leaders cannot do this usually because they let the mission get the better of them. However, it should always be mission first, men always. Work that emotional intelligence into your process or you may have to walk point every time. That can be lonely..mildly, and unsuccessful.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs I believe that a leader who has a balance of the 4 realms is an effective leader. I also believe leaders must know their strengths in a crisis and look for others who a strong in their weak areas. Teamwork and balance
