Is a soldier who deploys to Kuwait for logistics or CBRN contingencies eligible for a combat patch or just imminent danger pay or both?

I have a friend who wants to deploy to Kuwait or Iraq in support of ISIS. Just a general question.

No patch or imminent danger pay. Just hardship duty pay. You have to have 30 consecutive days or 60 non-consecutive days in Iraq or Syria to qualify for a patch.

That is an interesting question LTC (Join to see) I would suspect that if the soldier is directly supporting Operation Inherit Resolve that a combat patch may be authorized. If soldiers stationed in Kuwait providing support to OIF were authorized combat patches or immanent danger pay that I believe it should be played forward.

Kuwait as far as I know received none of what your asking about. But your friend must know and understand that every act on the "front lines" requires tens of hundreds of not thousands of people not on the "front lines", every one has value.
