Did anyone do anything special for their re-enlistment ceremony?

I have heard many different stories detailing re-enlistments. My first one was at my 4 year mark and I re-enlisted in Veracruz, Mexico in civilian attire. Now at my 9 year mark approaching and the upper echelon chain of command requesting my re-enlistment package I am curious about what others did for it.

While assigned to The Old Guard, I had the honor and privilege of reenlisting at the Tomb of the Unknowns. It will always be one of my best memories.

Granted I am an officer and do not re-enlist. I did officiate a very unique re-enlistment on the wing of a C-130 in Iraq. Very memorable.

This guy certainly has to get a ribbon for re-enlisting in a unique place

What a gas: corporal re-enlists while in the chamber
Coughing and choking, with tears streaming down his face, Cpl. Creston Jones signed up in style for two more years in the Army.
