K-9's for Military and Police need be equal to their handlers under the law?

If a criminal kills a police K-9 I think they should be change the same as killing an human officer. GOD Bless our War Dogs! They save so many lives.

They should be. In NC it was the opposite for a while, a misdemeanor to assault a cop but a felony to assault the dog. Murder is still different and needs to change
