I did as well. There was a large group of people with me at Airborne doing the same thing.

I obviously have to get my wings first. But upon completion, Branch said I would have Ten days to clear my home station, take whatever leave days I want, then report. But I have not physically seen orders yet. Levy Packet is awaiting two signatures. I was also told S1 could pinpoint my orders so I could find out if the Gaining Unit is deploying soon. My family doesnt really want to go and I dont want them to be by themselves if a deployment is in the near future. I'm not a lunatic, but I honestly would volunteer for a deployment. I'm at my six year mark and this is first time leaving CONUS.

I would recommend bringing your family. There are many benefits to bringing them. Money being one of them. I can tell you that you most likely will go to 4/25 but they are pending a huge draw down. The sooner you get your orders the better and remember keep your feet and knees together while in airborne school.
