After airborne school you will get to prove that gravity works.
My first Platoon Sergeant when I came in the Army told me that there are only two great duty assignments in the Army; the one you just left and the one you are going to. Now, he was kidding a bit, but his point was that we always think the grass is greener someplace else. I am here to tell you that you determine how good an assignment is. Make the most of it, learn and HAVE FUN.
Your day in the 82nd will be very much like a day in the rest of the Army. You will get up, do PT, conduct personal hygiene and then conduct the day's training. Training will be varied dependent on where you are in the GRF cycle and can be anything from 350-1 type classroom training to field exercises.
Expect to be challenged physically and mentally while assigned to the 82nd.
The duty day will USUALLY end around 1700 hours and your time is then yours. I would suggest you use it by working out and taking a college class. Always seek to improve yourself.

To be honest it is really what you make of it. You could have a guy here say he hates and then have one that says he loves it. I liked Bragg when I was there. I think it is one of the better duty stations in the Army. But I would just go there with an open mind.

I love Fort Bragg. I was stationed there from 1999-2001. I can only imagine the improvements that have been made. It's all Airborne there, which is nice. ATW!!!
