A few suggestions. Since you are looking for work, I would mention when in 2017 that you will obtain your IT degree. Add you career goal(s) to your professional summary; i.e., " Web Developer," etc. I would also change your profile picture to one where you are wearing a suit and tie. Put your best foot forward. Also consider whether you are willing to re-locate?'' In addition, join LinkedIn, if you are not already a member. Then join the LinkedIn group, "Veteran Mentor Network." This group has many great folks that can help you, once you start a discussion asking for assistance.

CW3 Dylan E. Raymond, PHR - My last comment hasn't applied since last month. I've shifted most of my time on RP to improving my LinkedIn profile, network, and groups participation. I'm not sure I see what you see. I'm constantly asking for advice and resources regarding continued education and possible job opportunities.
Hell, I just posted a question directly related to a RP job posting and got only one profile view but no responses from anyone of the targeted organization.

SGT (Join to see) - Sorry to hear you haven't met the goals you seek on RallyPoint. Would you like to have a call at some point to see how we can help you achieve success?

CPT David Gowel - I have no idea how I'm just seeing this. As of now I'm only a few months out from rejoining the workforce. I'm always welcome to new information and great advice. Personally, I think RP has done a lot for me already, but I have updated my resume on RP within the last week.
Again, any extra info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

"Those who stand in line (post their resume' with the masses) get the lowest paying jobs, if they get a job at all. I'm sure you're also out there knocking down some doors. Network and make yourself known. LinkedIn is a great place for that. But picking up the phone and sending some snail mail goes a long way. Employers today want to see that kind of effort.

SGT (Join to see) Great question. The best way to gauge recruiter interest is by the notification when someone views your profile. We don't have a 'resume viewed' notification, but I'm jotting that down as solid member feedback. Thanks for bringing this up. Also, I have passed your job seeking status onto several corporate recruiters who are teamed with RP. I hope we can find you something that fits your background and career desires.
A few quick questions. What are you most interested in doing after transition? What kind of jobs are you applying for? Is there a geographical region you need to be in? Thanks in advance.

Can't believe I'm just seeing this. I appreciate your trying to help.
Post graduation, my dream job as of now would be remote linux system administration. The tech evangelist position seems interesting but I'll push harder on improving my blog and vlog content before blazing that trail.
I've applied for many remote linux sysadmin jobs at IBM and Amazon.
I do NOT want to stay in central NY or go back to VA or NC. I'd prefer something not NYC, LA, or other huge cities.
I'd be really interested in a job in Asia.
Thanks again in advance.
