APFT is good for one year for promotion purposes. It is the responsibility of the soldier to ensure that his/her APFT does not expire. Just get bAck to the promotion board. It is too easy

I know I was close to the end of the days and was on the list to take the APFT after an FTX with this new unit until I was injured on day one of said FTX. So now it's my fault I lost status due to injury, is what my S1 told me. Right or wrong?

When was your last APFT? As i mentioned, APFT is good for a year for said promotion. Ifthat one year has expired, unfortunately your P status is now nulled. It is an unfortunate circumstance. If you are not satisfied with my response, review AR 600-8-19 I had a troop that lost his Elegibility because he came to the unit when his pt test expired during pcs leave. Troop reboarded the following month.

Last pt was in end of April 2015, sent paper work to BN S1 for update, I PCS'ed end of May, it was never update by BN their response when I ask when I cleared was "your pcs'ing and your new unit will update it when you take a APF5 with them". Looks like I am going back to the board. Thank you for the help.

I am currently in the same situation, my apft was set to expire june 2016, however I took a apft in may so that it could be updated, I checked my erb and I had been taken to off the recommended promotion list, what steps did you take and what memo format did you use to get reinstated it? bottom line is the training room NCO failed to update my pt card and im trying to fight it
