Let say their is an NCO and in the non promotion counseling, one of the reasons is that you have to change your leadership style. Nobody has ever had a problem with it before until now. Any advice?

I agree with SPC Johnson. I would definitely ask for specifics. What is it about your current leadership style that is (to them) unacceptable or deficient and why? What leadership style are they wanting you to adopt and why? Lots of questions. They may have one or more legitimate points, or it may just be a matter of personal preferences. You'll never know until you dig into the issue deeper and I'd recommend an open mind (even if it is just personal preferences). These types of discussions can be valuable learning tools, even if you are completely in the right!

Leadership styles are unique to each individual. However if it is not effective, it may need to be tweaked. Not thrown out and started over. There are many things I do right and things I do wrong. I do not mind feedback. If someone just doesn't like it, though it is effective, then you shouldn't have to change for them. It sounds as though the supervisor might need to tweak their style to better communicate their intentions.

First, I would ask that NCO in which way do you think I need to change and WHY/ What makes the way I am doing it wrong in you opinion. Then see if there is not something else truly behind this.
Second, If it is working and yuu had no problems keep on truckin. Ig he the only one with a problem with your style it may be him. Point that out also tactfully.
