What are the pros and cons of reenlisting from active duty to national guard while being married to another active duty soldier?

Well, if you go NG in the same state your spouse is in, then there really won't be any issues. But, come PCS time, then finding a NG slot in the new state may be a challenge in order to stay together. Now, if PCS takes the spouse to OCONUS, then there will certainly be problems trying to stay together and fulfill NG obligations.

SPC (Join to see) - Ah. Never been married to another military member so that's really a new one for me. I would recommend digging deeper into it (as you said). Also, talk with the NG recruiter and see what they say. And, perhaps your nearest Retention Office.

SPC (Join to see) - just doing what I can to help. I figure (with my chaotic thought process) that one of those locations should get you a proper answer.

MACP does not apply to active duty married to reserve components/other services. When your spouse leaves her current duty station you either try to find a unit close to her that will take you or you just stay where you are until either one of you is done with the military
