What are your top characteristic traits you want to see from Warriors graduating BT/AIT?

I have only one short month once I take command to challenge the present Future Warriors on having quality characteristic traits before they head off to their respective next assignments. I want the rest of the force to get the best qualified Soldiers to move up in the ranks and not ones that are a complete headache for command teams. My goal is to embed these traits into them so that they continue to keep our proud tradition strong.
What is critically important to me is simply seeing Warriors with much pride, discipline, respect, loyalty, commitment, and a high ambition to be very successful in today's US Army.

Pride in their Army; more self-discipline; teach them the history of the CAV; "trample" the self-entitlement out of them if at all possible! "TREAT 'EM ROUGH!!"

I sat in the meeting with the SCO, 1SG, and CO. The SCO mentioned that the training plan for AIT seemed a bit intense but was ok as long as the plan worked. It's not anything too crazy but the Troop is teaching them some valuable fundamentals of Recon. They want to make it realistically challenging and push them enough to show them what they could be doing soon. Not to the point of experienced veterans but enough so they understand a little more on how to be scouts.

Congrats on the command first of all. I would like to see Soldiers understand that they are a part of something bigger. I want them to be proud in the decision they made, whether a 4 year commitment or they are thinking of making it a career. I want them to be disciplined and I want them to understand that just like any job, you start at the bottom and work your way up. I want them to be aware of the sacrifices of Soldiers before them. The heroes of our generation. I want them to know about the Battle of Robert's Ridge, the sacrifice of SPC Ross McGinnis, and the bravery of 1LT Jennifer Moreno. I know you have to check the blocks on some training, but give them the basic buildings blocks and we will build upon that foundation when the get to AIT and then their first duty station.

MSG Case, thanks for the great reply. The Warriors will learn that nothing is given to them and that everything must be earned. All of us moved up in our careers because we earned our credentials. With proper enforcing of discipline and self-pride, I know they can be great Soldiers. I will talk to them about some of the countless sacrifices of Soldiers and self-less services of others. They can be very appreciative of their decision to commit to the team. I hope to build a stronger foundation here at OSUT and change the perception of how new Soldiers are viewed these days. I won't have much time with this cycle but the next ones I will for sure.

Sir, congratulations first of all.
I would like to see them Working better as a team. Knowledge about the Army's History. In addition try to take out if them the sense of entitlement

Thank you SPC Funt, I will do my best to have them ready to work as a team member and not individuals. I will have more time with the next cycle since I'm arriving on board late towards the end of this one.
