Yes. I did ILE entirely by correspondence (UGH) and got something like 150 points for it.

OMG, Sir, It worked for you....I am in traditional ILE/CGSOC and I am going nuts. I am turning in my Operation Torch essay this morning....I am getting a lot of student interaction in class. I don't have the patience for all the online work.

You can also get paid for it if funding is available. I got paid for finishing DL Phase 2.

As others have said, yes. If you do them through ACCP, the points should show up "automagically" at the rate of 1 point per 3 "study hours". If you do non-ACCP, make sure it is properly tracked and recorded (1380, or whatever the process is now).
NOTE: Do NOT dispose of subcourse completion notices until you see the points credited. I spent several years "proving" my points for the DL version of ILE to the points people, despite having the 1059 in my possession.

Just a follow-up: This changed last summer. Now there are only very, very narrow circumstances where you can get retirement points for correspondence courses.
