My son made Eagle Scout and wanted an M1 Carbine. The CMP no longer has any so we settled for an M1 Garand. We drove an hour and 45 minutes from Peachtree City, GA to Anniston, AL and picked our two nice surplus Garands for $525 each.

Military service makes you eligible.

Great place to pickup a M1 Garand. You can also order through the mail. Ihave ordered through the mail and picked up at the store. Store pickup is alot more fun ! ! Prices and condition of rifles vary.

Update: Prices just increase for Field Grades from $525 to $595 and for Service Grades from $625 to $695.

Still a better deal than gun shows or inline auctions.

Mail order will probably be the only way to get them but you can call the stores to see if any are in stock.

I'd take a Garand over a carbine any day!
