So here is my case, I recently PCS'd from Hawaii with TDY enroute to Bragg. I was entitled to BAH prior to departing, but depending on which finance I get a different answer on if I should collect BAH from Hawaii, not receive BAH since I am living in the Barracks/Hotel, or collect in-transit while TDY. I have researched the JTR but there is nothing covering my situation. Anyone have a clue on this?

Refer to the flow chart at the bottom of section 10416 of the JTR:
You are absolutely entitled to BAH, to include TDY en route.

CPT Webb, I've read that. But it seems each finance is different. It seems whom ever I talk to will give me a different response. They will say Hawaii I OCONUS but yet you receive BAH... It's an odd topic.

I just re-read your question. You are already gone from HI. Go to your local finance office immediately and square your travel away. And do whatever BAH change paperwork needs to be done. They will get you straightened out, but the longer you wait the more jacked up your pay will be. The big factor here is your family situation.

Depends on some facts. Are you a single Soldier? How long is TDY enroute? Hawaii is a funny place to PCS in/out of. You are authorized Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) in Hawaii and Temporary Lodging Expenses (TLE) at your gaining station, if you have a family. Depending on the nature of your TDY and whether you have a family or not, will determine your entitlements. Go to the Aloha center you are assigned to and ask them. They will know for sure. Also, find out when the next levy brief is in your area. All the folks that can answer your questions will be there. Good luck!
