Omar N. Bradley was the last General of the Army, (Five Star General) given to him on September 20, 1950.
I personally was given a chance to actually see him in FT Bliss Texas, during a thanksgiving dinner. I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen or met a 5 Star General.

My son accidentally stepped on Gen. Colin Powell's spit shined shoes at Dover back in the 80's. I was in uniform, and covered my name badge and back away SMARTLY! Also, met some FLAG officers while serving in two NATO assignments.

We had the good fortune of escorting Gen Omar Bradley once upon a time. He was in a wheelchair by then, but still a very fine and compassionate person.

My father met General Eisenhower at the National Boy Scout Jamorbee in 1950. It made quite an impression on him and he kept his mementos of that trip in his desk his entire life and often showed them to me. He was prouder of that old copy of Life magazine and his Eagle Scout medal than any of his medals from the Korean War.
