What would you like to know?
The first thing I learned when going before the Board? Shave my moustache! I was passed-over once and my CSM told me why: my moustache! I shaved it and got promoted on the next board!
The second thing I learned? Listen to your CSM's at battalion and brigade-level!
The third? Plug any holes NCOER-wise.
Next: [Retype your 2-1, or] make sure it (your PQR) is perfect, information-wise.
Have your mentor, then your CSM look over your packet to make sure it is the best it can be before you send it forward.
And, finally, be prepared to move: "Jesus can't be more than the carpenter's son in Nazareth" and "familiarity breeds contempt." You may have to accept an assignment somewhere else for several reasons, the first two I mentioned already, and s third is that the higher you go, the less positions there are available.
Sorry, my information is old, I retired in 2010! Please let me know if you need anything else. I am always happy to do what I can to help.

MSG Glock, I think he's trying to find the announcement. For some reason, HRC hasn't been updating the TPU promotion information. I'm in the same boat. I'm up for my first look in the PZ this year and have yet to see an announcement. The results of the FY15 MSG TPU board we're never distributed. There is a way to find the results of that board but you have to be connected the ARNET to access it.

Rgr, thanks for the advice, MSG. My unit's structure is kind of disjointed. I'm in an LOD (legal ops detachment) and we don't have a local CSM. My regional SGM is just an email/phone call away but I had spoken with my DIV CSM last year about my packet and got some tips. But I did find the announcement and shared it here after I dug it up. I wasn't too concerned about it, I knew the announcement would be pretty much the same as last year's though it was a different RSC and the memo was almost identical. More helpful was the AAR from last year's MSG board. It's helpful to see what mistakes the board is taking notice of.
I was just surprised that HRC hasn't been updating the TPU promotions section at all and there was never any email from DIV or anywhere else with the announcement.

I posted the link to the announcement memo. It's on the USAR G1 website, you'll need to login with a CAC to access the memo.

Just did some digging and was able to find it on the USAR G1 website. You'll need CAC access to get to it but this is the link:
