Should the Army go back to CCF(Consoladated Confinement Facilities) and(School of Soldiers). To me these were the two best facilities that the Army had for Soldiers who just needed a push

SFC Benjamin Berry III - I think it is a good idea if run IAW regulations. One of the problems with it, which caused it to go away, was that some were not run IAW regulations and the Army faced criticism and legal issues for "unlawful confinement" (to include some "locally established facilities" that were clearly in violation). I even recall some units having their own detention cells in their barracks that, when discovered, resulted in folks being charged with unlawful detention.
I would like to see the Army reinstitute the old US Army Retraining Brigade (formerly called US Army Correctional Activity) that was located at Ft Riley, KS. Soldiers charged and convicted of certain offenses were sent there for "retraining" for a specified period of time and, at the end of their sentence, would be evaluated for return to duty or discharged, depending on their attitude and progress.

Yes Sir I do remember the facility at Ft. Riley. So about bringing back School of Soldiers.

Now a days you have to do a summary courts marshal to put someone in labor camp. When I was in command at Ft myer we would send them to quantico Marine Base.

I truly believe that Army made a mistake if they have removed CCF's from bases. If bases had CCF it might eliminate the following incidents. http://ow.ly/IrLd300D2TW
