Who is your favorite military hero and why?

My military hero is not famous, but he did win the Bronze Star for valor during the Vietnam war. He was known to but a few men but those who knew him respected and loved him. He was my father, he passed away almost 20 years ago now, but he is still my hero and the reason I joined the Army
