Project management is a natural fit for servicemembers with leadership experience.

Knowledge and experience is power (MONEY), I have known NCOs and Officers that had job as project mangers during their service time and once out took test to get certified and are now in charge of projects making good money.

I absolutely agree that this is a very good career option. Everything happened for me gradually. At the very beginning, I received a diploma in computer science, and only then, I studied management because I lacked this knowledge. Periodically used https://cipcommunity.org/ when writing my management essays and studying related topics. Then, having combined this knowledge, I became a project manager in IT.

I think it is a grand idea to give opportunities to veterans to endeavor in project management. Most would be appalled to know we are destined to stamp bottle caps for the rest of our lives. Being a project manager is stressful, but near perfect planning and execution was tremendously satisfying. I used TLPs, lots of recons, OPORDSs, coordination with supporting teams, rehearsals, and laying on the couch visualizing the event from top to bottom.
