Have you checked out the local VFW and stuff? You can also find a link to the IAVA here on the resources page which can be found under the Career Corner. Once you join the IAVA you can sign up for their COV (Community Of Veterans) which is a little bit like RallyPoint but more location based.
If you want some other tips on how to connect with Veterans in your area, let me know; there are some great tools out there.
