Have you owned a Strider knife before? If so, what model? Do you think they are priced correctly? These are some of the most polarized knives out there, i am curious to know what the RP community thinks.
The knives themselves are some of the most durable and capable knives i have owned. They do keep a good resale value and I generally keep one or two in my possession at any given time.

I have never had a strider knife but know their reputation. For price It would matter in the type of steel they use and the craftsmanship. I'm actually a fan of SOG knives. I have owned Kbar, Boker and kershaw and believe they are also good brands. The best knife is a sharp knife!

Never owned a Boker or a Kershaw, SOG and KaBar are great knives. Think every Marine has to have a Ka-Bar in their collection. Been a Cold Steel guy for my EDC,
As far as steel, most use CPM-S30V. lots of titanium in the frame / lock / clip. It is of good quality. Won't reach their 300 - 500$ price tag with materials though.
I personally love their knives, but the cost is ridiculous. The only good thing is they are easily sellable / tradeable. Generally if you buy one new, it will keep almost all of its retail value or possibly appreciate, even after some decent use. Just from my experience.

They are nice, but a $40 pig sticker will kill them just as dead. Durability comes into play if you plan on using it for many purposes. Then again, that's what multi-tools are for.
No knife is worth that amount, unless you have more money than you need, are a collector, or just have to be the coolest kid in the barracks.
