Hafthor Bjornsson (The Mountain from Game of Thrones, also seen elsewhere simply being massive) stopped in to UFC Champ Conor McGregor's training camp to do a bit of sparing.

The mismatch is insane. McGregor is standing at 5’9″ and 145-pound while
Bjornsson is at 6’9″, 419-pound.

While 6'9 is tall that mass is absolutely crazy! As you can see in the video he isn't the run of the mill strong man that also carries a bit of fat weight. The man is a mountain!

Initially McGregor's quick strikes seem to make absolutely zero effect on Bjornsson. McGregor being as quick as he is though used that to his advantage and managed to over time inflict a toll. Still... coming inside Bjornsson's reach though. Risky business.

Take a look, its worth the watch.

That was pretty crazy. No wonder I like Conner McGregor, he is truly a great fighter. This goes to show you that size and strength can only take you so far. Combative/hand-to-hand fighting skills take you the rest of the way and make one a "Mountain Slayer!"

SPC (Join to see) I have to tell you that is one HUGE man !! I don't know what effect it would have had on the fight if they had really gone "all out", but I would have loved to have seen THAT !! If the big man would have really gotten a hold of him I think it would have been over. As you said, McGregor's quickness really served him well, as he wisely backed off when he felt that "The Mountain" was getting too close, or blocking him into a corner. A great video, it brings back the age old discussion, "Who wins the fight, the BIG strong guy, or the little fast guy, when both are more or less evenly matched otherwise?"
